5 weeks old!

Ella-Lorraine is too much! The jury is out on whether or not she likes her car seat. I talk to my Mom the most when I am in the car and using the hands free device. I write this because she is convinced Ella-Lorraine does not like her car seat because every time I talk to my Mom on the phone, the baby is crying. Even Langston has taken to saying, "My baby's not happy Mommy." or "My baby's crying Mommy." or "My baby wants her 'fier Mommy." or "The baby's crying again."

Sometimes, it does seem like she cries a lot, but I realize this is most often happening when we're out and she wants everything to stop so she can eat. Easier said than done in traffic or with a two year old or when you're rushing home to cook dinner. Like I said before also - she likes to eat and she likes to be held, she doesn't like to be dirty and she didn't take to the pacifier quickly. So sometimes it's a toss up as to whether or not she will be fussy if either of those things is not happening. She's growing though and smiling and is really delightful when she's not hungry, tired or dirty. That seems pretty normal to me in the world of babies.

funny little anecdote...
As Ella Lorraine sleeps, Langston rushes over to play with/talk to/ just in general be around her. We gently admonish him not to touch or disturb her because she's sleeping. Then, as he rouses her from her sleep and she begins to cry he says, "My baby's not sleeping, Mommy. My baby's crying." Great.

Here she is in her ballerina outfit. See, she doesn't cry all of the time and she's VERY happy here!
