So, we're in New Jersey! The trip has been bittersweet, but definitely a blessing. Ella-Lorraine has been a hit! I'm overwhelmed by how loved and enjoyed she is already. She's already met her cousins and they enjoy her (especially Khalil), but she can't talk or play yet, so they were quickly on to bigger and better things with Langston. :)

On funny story: we were out with the entire family Sunday morning (yesterday), for breakfast, and I was nursing Ella-Lorraine who was under a blanket. One of the restaurant patrons walked by looked at all of the boys of various ages around the table and said, "Please tell me there is a girl under that blanket!" We all laughed of course and told him, "yes, there was." What a treat for the family to have a little doll baby to dress all girlie and enjoy. :)
Gene left for home this morning, but we were able to change my ticket so that I could stay with my family a little while longer. Kyle and Ayana and the boys went back to their home this morning also, so it is just Langston, Ella-Lorraine and I enjoying our time with Hunny and Pop.
Ella-Lorraine is starting to get baby acne. Her little face is starting to break out and we're waiting to see if it stays pretty benign or becomes a full blown rash. In the meantime, this kid is doing her best to be a fashionista. We're trying to get as much wear out of all of her newborn sized outfits before she outgrows them. That and she's already worn two specialty dresses with matching leggings and mary janes that my Uncle Dave claimed were so small and precious they looked like I had stolen them from a doll. What can I say? Baby girl clothes and shoes. Doesn't get much cuter than that!
