If there's anything you should know about Langston it is this - he is one tough little kid. he plays tough and hangs tough. If he falls or gets a bump he rarely and barely cries and if there is something going on - he wants to know about it. He will stay up late if something's up...and we sort of counted on that when we went to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party at Disney's California Adventure late Friday evening, October 9. He hung tough!!! Walking around, taking it all in - and it was FUN!!
We dressed Langston as Winnie the Pooh in a bumblebee costume. The costume was handed down to us from my brother and his wife. We were thrilled because it was a Disney costume (how appropriate!) and because we have great photos of our first nephew wearing the costume (he's 8 now!) - so it is a family favorite. We went with our friends the Madelons, and simply had a blast! Gene and I donned our 50s gear for a fun look. Some of the other folks' costumes were great! We saw the most awesome Haunted Mansion Group, complete with Haunted Mansion attendants, the ghostly birthday girl & hitchhiking ghosts! Next year we've absolutely got to do a group costume.
We also had fun watching Langston get lots of attention and get down in the fun evening parade. What a ham! At the end of the night, as we were making our way towards the exit, Langston grabbed onto his little antenna and drifted off to sleep - he was tough though...he'd made it until about 11 PM. What a trooper!

hmmm - should i, shouldn't i?
ok - i'm heading in - looks like fun!
wow - this is great - i'm in the parade!
hey guys - don't forget about me! i'm here, dancing, too!

I love that he's dressed up as a character that's dressed up--too cute!
And love the update on his talking...smart little boy you have there.
He is a trooper!!! But, do you blame him? I know I couldn't close my EYES either!
we had so much fun, it was great watching him get in there and he was so enthralled.
