The County Fair!

Langston went to his first county fair on Saturday 9/26. He had a blast! We saw the sights - the deep fried foods (even tasted a deep fried snickers bar), ate some yummy fried catfish, avoided the chocolate covered bacon, checked out the winning quilter's projects, viewed the theme table setting displays, visited the animals and their babies, and even took Langston on his first pony ride. He seemed sort of confused and bewildered throughout the entire ride. We kept tried to say "giddy-up" and "yee-haw" throughout the ride to try to link the experience to riding his little horsey bouncer, but he still seemed befuddled. That is, of course, until the horse came to a stop and THEN he bounced up and down and actually grabbed a hold of the saddle as if to say, "let's go, horsey!" Oh well, next time he'll get it DURING the ride. It was a long, hot, fun, exhausting, memory making kind of day. I don't know that he'll remember it, but we took lots of pics to mark the occasion.
