Zoos & Shoes!

The day after our campout, Mommy and Daddy took me to the Zoo for the first time! We received a family membership as a gift from one of mommy's student's. His name is Matt and he's graduating out of Mommy's youth group this year so his family gave her a thank you gift (and he really like animals, so every time we go we'll think of Matt!) Thanks Keehn Family!

We had fun at the zoo! It was REALLY hot and Mommy got stung by a bee, but it was still fun! They do a lot of things with me and make sacrifices 'cause they love me, I guess!

We saw a rhino with a sick horn that the zoo doctors were fixing, the flamingos (they're pink and stand on one leg!), an elephant, some birds, the zoo train (which was kind of sad, really), a polar bear (he was huge!), some goats, sheep and a bunch of other stuff! I even rode an alligator - well, not a REAL one, but a play alligator!

I practiced walking which is really funny to see now, because I've already gotten better at this and am trying to run now (but I don't really move any faster, in fact I think I go slower, but I get so excited because I think I am running~especially when someone chases me!)

At the end of the day I was so tired I fell asleep in my (new! because Hunni & Pop just bought it for me over my birthday weekend) stroller - which doesn't happen very often.

Mommy posted some photos and video of me walking - I hope you like them!

She also put up some photos of my new, very first hard-soled shoes - really cool sneakers with velcro that I really like and try to put on myself!

And she put up some photos and video from when she took me to the park on Monday, July 20th. You'll see I like to push the stroller from the basket underneath the seat. I think maybe Mommy helps me push it, but maybe I'm doing it all by myself!
