Ella-Lorraine told me "No" today for the first time. Loud and clear. And when I asked her again, "Do you want the banana?" She an·nun·ci·at·ed it even more clearly as if to say "What part of the 'No' did you not understand? the N or the O?" She knows what she wants!

The second part of the story is that I couldn't figure out what she wanted if she didn't want the banana. Langston of course, chimed in, "She wants the orange!" (the oranges were underneath the bananas in the fruit bowl). I love that they have a connection and relationship all their own. I'm so glad they have each other! Big brother to the rescue!
