So, we drove to Vegas for our first ever vacation with the boy. We left LA on Sunday July 27. On Monday we went to Target for some staple items for our room - a swim hat for the baby, some Lays Chips for Gene and shampoo for me. We introduced Langston to the pool in the evening, but it is clearly not like the bathtub - too cold! Tuesday we spent some time at the pool in the morning then visited a local outlet mall (indoors, thank goodness!). Temperatures have been in the triple digits (around 109) each day! Not to worry, we have plenty of baby safe high octane sunblock for Langston.
No pictures, please...
We believe that Tuesday is the day Langston discovered he has two feet! It was amazing to watch really - like it was the first day he really noticed they were there.
Wednesday we walked for a bit on the strip, dining at a Las Vegas buffet (c'mon, it's Vegas - you have to do it!), watched the dancing fountain at the Bellagio and saw the gondolas inside the Venetian.
Thursday was much more laid back - we spent the bulk of the day at the pool - Langston slept like a champ! Then back to the room for naps and spent the rest of the day lounging. Friday we got up early and headed to the outdoor outlets. Then dinner at Planet Hollywood. We spent time in the evening wandering through Caesar's Palace. Saturday morning, our last day in Vegas, we got up early to secure a spot near the pool....

it is pretty hilarious! - even with all of our swim gear and sunblock, he still managed to get a tan!
