Hey batter batter, sa-wing batter!

Langston went to his first baseball game last night! He proudly cheered on the Dodgers wearing his newborn Dodger gear (except for the hat which is still too big) and the sparkling white cap-toe Keds I bought for him before he was born. I love those sneakers! He slept through the entire thing! Thankfully we had Hunni & Pop with us to help carry and cuddle our little boy blue while we cheered on our boys in blue. We packed a fantastic bag of snacks and packed the little one in his carrier - Pop donned the outfit and Langston was quite comfortable.

When we first arrived at Dodger Stadium, we thought he was our little good luck charm as the Dodgers exhibited an impressive rally and eventually both teams (they were playing the Florida Marlins) were tied at 4 runs, but alas, in the top of the 10th inning, the Marlins scored again....with a home run, no less!!! The Dodgers failed to score again. So, once again we left the park without singing "I Love LA" - which is almost my favorite part.

This doesn't mean that our little boy is not lucky - no sir. It means that even all of the joy and love that Langston embodies is not enough to ward off the funk of the often stinky Dodgers. We are not fair-weather fans so of course we will continue to cheer on and pull for our team, but really guys - you couldn't have pulled out a win for our little guy? After all of the overpriced Dodger dogs we've bought, the numerous games we've attended, and the countless steps we've climbed up and down the stadium stairs? A win would've been nice, but there will be more games in Langston's future so our boys of summer have time to practice and re-group!

Think Blue!
