Sweet Langston Brown - (Bop, bop, baaah) Good times never seemed so good!

A lot has happened in the last nine months so we have a lot of catching up to do. We had some great times waiting for Langston to arrive! Here are just a few of the highlights of our baby adventure time-line! (And some pregnancy photos for those of you who asked for them!)

In case you didn't know, we're big Dodger fans. We went to 18 games just last season alone! I should have known we were expecting when I fell asleep in the middle of a great inning at a game. 55,000 screaming fans and I'm sleeping - if that doesn't say pregnant, what does?

A visit to Dodger Stadium! (we took a tour that day, hence the empty seats)
(ps - Langston already has his own set of Dodger gear!)

Here we are the night of our big announcement - October 27, 2007 - seven months to the day before our bundle of joy arrived. We shared the news with our families the weekend before Halloween and made our great expectation known to friends at our annual Halloween bash - we're dressed as Isaac and Julie from the Love Boat! Our costumes were a hit, folks are already asking about what the three of us will cook up for Halloween '08.

The Love Boat, soon will be making another run!

Christmas 2007 - starting to show a little bit...

Fast forward to Easter - March 23, 2008
(Did I mention we also renovated our bathroom in February and March - imagine tiling and grouting under the clawfoot tub at 7 months pregnant - what a job! As soon as we download the pics, we'll post them for you!)

Easter Sunday - all dressed in pink!

Ok Honey, just take the picture!!

This was in early May, by the way!

Then, Hunni and Pop came into town on the 16th. They were constantly asking me if I wanted to go somewhere and walk around - at first my answer was "don't rush me!" Then, things changed. Here we are at the doctor the week of my due date.

(I was due on the 21st, this is the 22nd - no baby yet! Don't I look thrilled?!)

By Memorial Day Weekend, we had tried a lot of suggestions: eating spicy food, eating shellfish, eating salad with balsamic vinaigrette, walking around, taking the stairs...you name it, we tried it! By Monday, May 26, I was trying to walk the baby out myself so we headed to the Santa Monica Pier.

Taking a break by the carousel.

Finally the big day arrives - although we didn't know it at first! Here we are at 10:30 am at the doctor's office, so far so good.

Maybe the doc will induce us!

Yippee - we're being induced! We couldn't be happier.."We're off to see the wizard!"

This is around noon that same day.

S0 we're induced at 1:52, then wait - a second...did somebody say "C-section"? That's not on the "Shed-ule for today" (as Hunni would say). Nurse Shara says, "Hey Dad, throw these on, we're headed to the OR!"

4:10 pm - BABY!

Proud Papa.

Ma-ma!

...and all is right with the world!
