Christmas in California & news to share!!

Once we returned to California, we had our own Christmas celebration at home for Langston. We tried to time it around 3 Kings Day or "Epiphany" for you liturgical types. :) He had several big presents to open that we couldn't or didn't want to cart back and forth to New Jersey including a little tykes car and a play kitchen. He was mesmerized by everything!!!

Langston also got a new lunch box and a headlamp (one of his favorite gifts) from Uncle Craig and Aunt Debbie when he got back to CA.

Even though we had shared with our family in New Jersey that we were expecting over the Christmas holidays we had yet to spill the beans in California. At the end of January, we started to share with our close friends that a baby brown #2 was on the way. The first CA folks I told were two of my dear friends and youth group volunteers on the eve of our winter lock-in. I told them because I needed to explain why I wouldn't be playing broomball with the youth group that weekend. The announcement was met with great enthusiasm and shrieks of delight which totally made my day!! After that, the news was slowly but surely shared with all.

We are so excited about baby #2!! So, we're eagerly waiting for the summer, August 7th is the due date...that means a baby who might share birthday month with Mommy!!
