Langston's birthday fell on a Wednesday....Hunny and pop came into town the night before so we had a morning birthday song, an afternoon birthday song and of course an evening song. Then my brother came into town with his wife and 4 kids two days later and we had a great party for Langston along with more singing of the birthday song. So it is pretty much the case now that whenever Langston hears the birthday song, he thinks it is for him since we celebrated him and his first year so much!Here are some photos and video from his actual birthday. Gene and I sent cupcakes to "school" with Langston. My Mom and Dad (Hunny and Pop) took them and him in to celebrate with his class that day. There is some video of the gang getting together, singing and celebrating and then subsequent video of some of the kids' crying... I don't know why really. I know there is one kid who cries all of the time who Gene calls, you guessed it - The Crier. Maybe he was crying today because he wanted more birthday cupcakes. Who knows? There is A LOT of video. My parents were kind enough to take it all since they knew we couldn't be there. There are also a few pictures from his evening out celebration and some video. Don't feel you have to watch it all, but we're posting it for those out there who don't get to see or even have never met the little man. I'm sure when he's all grown up, we'll cherish all of these videos!! (I already love looking bck to just a year ago and checking out his newborn photos and video - where did the time (and my baby!) go?!)
What I do know is that our little man got an amazing 1st year week-long, family & friends-filled celebration. Thanks to all! Party pictures to come!
