It was a smoky, chilly Saturday evening in November (the 15th to be exact!) when a 5 1/2 month old named Langston got his first taste of rice cereal. His parents thought it would be a good idea to give it to him after a long day of kung fu panda and housewarming parties (shows what they know!). All he really wanted was a good bottle (or nip!) and a warm bath...
Here's what happened:
So, no go to the cereal - especially when the boy seemed to be STARVING! "Why, mommy, why?! Why do you tease me?!"
A little rice cereal in the bottle with breast milk..."hmmm - that's more like it."
Let's try again. Once more, no go. "Must we play this game?!"
Another little breast milk bottle with some rice cereal mixed in...
"OK - now, I feel much better, except whew - my pants are too tight!"
"Thanks mom, thanks dad - what's that you say? remove my pants for the next course?...GREAT idea - then I'll really be ready for this stuff you call 'rice cereal.'"
"What are you waiting for? Bring on the rice cereal, I say!"
"Mmm...mmmm - makes me want to kick up my heels!"
Again.
And again.
And again.
"Keep it coming mom - let me hold the spoon!"
"I tell you what, how about I hold on to you to make sure you hit the target?"
"Riiiiiiice Cereallllllllll!!!!!"
"Are you getting all of this dad?"
"Why don't you give it a try, Daddy?"
"OK back to you mom!"
"Thanks mommy!"
"I am one happy boy AND a fast learner!!!"
