Here she is after her doctor's visit. All smiley and pretty in spite of her shot.
Ella-Lorraine is growing by leaps and bounds. She had her 18 month appointment this week even though she hit 19 months on the 16th (we had to go a little later since we were late getting her 15th month appointment right and we had to time her shots accordingly).
Her stats are: Head size: 18 3/4 inches in the 73rd percentile
Height: 31 inches in the 68th percentile
Weight: 25 lbs in the 8.5 ounces in the 60th percentile
She is always happy. I know people say that about their kids, but this is different. I thought Langston was a happy baby. He was, but now I realize, he was also content - pretty easygoing. Ella-Lorraine, however, is simply cheery all of the time. She exudes joy and happiness.
That doesn't mean she won't have her moments. She's definitely hitting her toddler stride! Stomping her feet when she doesn't get what she wants. She's gaining her independence and she's so cute when she tries to exert herself. She learned the phrase, "Move!" at daycare. (Great! (I say sarcastically). She's also talking up a storm. Her favorite words are "Gabba!" when she wants to watch tv. She also says grace with us at dinner and knows to say, "Amen." She sings along with our toddler tunes cds in the car - she knows the words and the melodies, just like Langston (He's also hilariously funny to hear in the car, singing his heart out.) She also says, "more" and does the coordinating baby sign language sign. So cute!!
Her other words include: clock, choo choo, baby, spoon, Daddy, Mommy, milk, cup, book, hair, shoe, Pop, dog, kitty, welcome, thank you, Momma, bubble, and a bunch of others I can't remember at 3:30 in the morning!
When I picked her up from school today, one of the other moms said, "Your daughter is so incredible! " I said, "Oh? What did she do?" The other mom responded, "Nothing. She's just always smiling and happy. She's incredible."
What more can I say! I agree, of course!
